DR ROGER WALTER BURY
CONSULTANT RADIOLOGIST
General Radiologist with a particular interest in cross sectional imaging (Magnetic Resonance
Imaging, Computer Tomography and Ultrasound) and Interventional Radiology (Biliary
stenting and Angiography –including Angioplasty). I have developed a regional Cardiac Imaging
(Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Computer Tomography) service based at Blackpool Victoria
Hospital. Vascular Magnetic Resonance, Neurological and Musculoskeletal Magnetic
Resonance also form a large proportion of my daily work. I regularly lecture and organise meetings
on my sub-speciality interests. I am Chairman of the North West Region sub-committee for the
Royal College of Radiologists, an active committee member of the British Society of Cardiac
Radiology and a director of Direct Medical Imaging in Lytham St Annes.
My medical training was wide ranging – having completed a 3 year training course in General
Practice (VTS certificate) [ 1year in General Practice, 6 months in Obstetrics, 6 months in
Paediatrics, 6months in Care of the Elderly, 6 months in Accident & Emergency Medicine].
