(Nasdaq: ENTG) introduces a revolutionary new liquid system technology advancement this week at SEMICON Taiwan in Taipei. The Sentry™ QCIII quick connect system builds on two decades of expertise and market supremacy with its patented Quick Connect System technology that remains the industry standard today for high-purity chemical dispense. Ensuring that high-purity bulk chemical containers are attached to the chemical dispense system in the safest, cleanest, most user-friendly and cost-efficient manner is vital. Major challenges include maintenance costs, leakage, flow rate limitations, ease-of-use and DOT/UN approvals. Entegris’ solution – the Sentry™ QCIII quick connect system – utilizes Flaretek® sealing technology on the chemical dispense port eliminating the need for o-rings and associated maintenance. The system enables recirculation and dispense operations in one connection significantly reducing cost of ownership The system’s innovative dispense head optimizes the flow path, increasing chemical flow rate by 150 percent over Entegris’ existing quick connect systems. (Pictured below connected to Entegris’ HDPE bulk chemical container) “This pioneering technology is on the market and being used. It has tremendous potential for OEM, chemical company and fab customers in Asia,” said Todd Edlund, vice president and general manager of liquid systems for Entegris. “There is no comparable dispense system technology anywhere in the world like the Sentry™ QCIII system.” CONTINUED ON NEXT PAGE The materials integrity management company Entegris Introduces The Sentry™ QCIII Quick Connect System/HDPE Drum…September 11, 2006……Page 2 Entegris is the first company to invest in state-of-the-art, multilayer blowmolding technology in Taiwan for the production of ultra high purity electronic grade chemical drums.
