Morocco Fishing Talks Held
Spain and Morocco issued a joint communique April 26 in
Madrid after two days of talks between Foreign Minister
Gregorio Lopez Bravo and his Moroccan counterpart,
Ahmed Taibi Benhima, on the two countries' fishing and
territorial waters dispute. [See 1973 Spain: Morocco
Waters Dispute]

fishing rights from 12 to 70 miles off the coast in
early March. Fishing vessels had been seized by both
sides during March and April, and a Spanish seaplane
exchanged gunfire with a Moroccan navy launch April 2.
