Southwest Education Academy: After-School Make-Up Program
Southwest Education Academy and the Iron County School district will offer an after-school make-up
program for students who have failed a course at their high school. The make-up curriculum will be
either packet work or a web-based high school program called Plato. Students are allowed to work in the
classroom between the hours of 3:00 – 5:00 Monday through Thursday regardless of the subject they are
working on. Teachers will be available according to the schedule listed below. The course must be
made up within 10 weeks of registering for the class. Refunds will not be issued to students who do
not complete the course in 10 weeks.

The student must complete this form with his/her counselor and parent/guardian. The student should then
bring this and $40 for each .25 credit to be made up, to the SEA/Adult High/Applied Technology College
building at 510 West 800 South any time between 2:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
The student must take a payment receipt to class to begin his/her make-up coursework.
