Contractors are invited to bid on the Spill Containment Facilities
Concrete Crack Repairs at various locations in Vermont. The
project entails the following work:
The Vermont Army National Guard (VTARNG) is requesting
proposals for repair of cracks in four concrete spill containment
areas located at the following sites:
Camp Johnson in Colchester, Vermont (2 sites);
The Field Maintenance Shop Facility in Westminster,
Vermont; and
The Unit Training Equipment Site at the Ethan Allen Firing
Range in Jericho, Vermont.
The containment facilities to be repaired consist of sloped, ongrade reinforced concrete slabs with concrete curbing around three
sides. They are used to enclose fuel tanker vehicles to provide
secondary containment if a spill occurs.
The concrete slabs and curbing have several cracks, which
compromise the ability of the facility to contain any spills that may
occur. Under this Request for Proposal, the contractor will repair
the cracks in the horizontal slab and vertical curbing as shown on
the plans and as outlined in the technical specifications and other
Contract Documents.
Scheduling of Work
The VTARNG anticipates accomplishing this Work during late
Fall, 2008.
The VTARNG may, at its sole discretion, decide to accomplish
work on only one of the four containment facilities under this
contract. Work on the other remaining facilities may be delayed
until a later date to allow the VTARNG to assess the suitability of
the work accomplished, and/or to wait for suitable weather
conditions in Spring 2009. Any work on the remaining facilities
would then be accomplished either under this contract; or under a
separate contract with others, at the sole discretion of the
VTARNG.
Mandatory Site Visit
Contractors are required to visit the project sites prior to submitting
their proposals. Site visits can be scheduled by calling Ms. Lee

Sealed Bids which contain the price per facility will be accepted at
