AIRPORT TRANSIT VISA APPLICATION


Document or photocopy missing = incomplete file = high risk of visa refusal;
File fees (not refundable) : exchange value of 60 euros ( 130S$ in cash)

You must apply at the Consulate of France in person.
The VTA visa obligation is waived if :
 you hold a valid residence permit in any of the European Union member states
 you hold a valid residence permit in any of the European Trade area member states
 you hold a valid visa allowing you to enter a Schengen country.
 you hold a Record of Landing and a Permanent Resident Card issued by Immigration
Canada allowing you permanent residency in Canada. If you are leaving for more than 6
months, you also need the Returning Resident Permit.
 you hold a residence permit in Monaco, Switzerland, Andorra, Holy Siege, San Marino or
the USA.
 ATTN: No Airport Transit Visa is required for holders of Diplomatic, Official or Special
passports.
Who needs a VTA?
Persons traveling with a passport issued by one of the following countries or authorities need a VTA
visa

Requirements

1 application form and 1 recent passport-sized photograph. The form must be completely and legibly
filled out in black or blue ink, signed and dated. The photo must be recent (2,5cm x 3,5cm), clearly showing
the face, the forehead hairline and ears on a white background.

Passport or travel document (+ 1 copy of identity page) valid for at least three months following the last
day of your transit through France. Be sure the passport has blank "visa" pages left to affix the visa.

Employment pass / dependant pass / student pass / permanent resident card / and re-entry permit stamp in
passport which must be valid for at least a few days beyond the last day in France (+ 1 copy).

Detailed reservation and itinerary (+ 1 copy).
Confirmed dates or E-ticket at the time of insurance of the visa. No open tickets will be accepted.

If the country of final destination is not the applicant’s country of citizenship, please submit a valid visa, a
resident permit, a work permit or any other document showing that the applicant is allowed to enter or reside
in such a country. (+ 1 copy).

If the applicant is under 18 years old, include a parental authorization letter, with a copy of the birth
certificate and passports of both parents, allowing the applicant to travel through France, or if travelling with
one parent, a Notarised statement from the parent who is not travelling.
