Applicable Legislation
TDI-Brooks International, Inc. was incorporated in the State of Texas on May 20, 1996. TDI-BI
currently specializes in offshore surface geochemical exploration, site and environmental surveys and highend environmental analysis of hydrocarbons, pesticides/PCBs and trace metals. All of our vessels are US

We also strive to meet many international regulations and codes applicable to all TDI-BI ship
operations concerning safety issues include International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea
(SOLAS), and US Coast Guard Navigation Rules. International Regulations and Codes applicable to all
TDI-BI ship operations concerning environmental issues such as handling wastes include the International
Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships, 1973, as amended by the Protocol of 1978
(MARPOL).
3.2
Compliance Procedures
The nature of our geochemical, geotechnical, and environmental investigations in US waters
requires that we obtain permits for this exploration work from the US Department of Interior, Minerals
Management Service prior to the commencement of work. Foreign operations usually require a similar
permitting process with the foreign government in whose territorial waters the offshore concessions are
located.
