A knowledge of what is provided in these hospitals, and what possible medications that are prescribed and their rationale (in Reflexology, Acupuncture, Ayurvedic, Chinese Traditional Medicine , Malay Massage). This conference will focus on improving the knowledge of the use of herbal preparations and also to have a better understanding of the concepts / practicality of Traditional Complimentary Medicine among pharmacists in the retail sector. Pharmacy carry stocks of traditional medicines. There are increasing number of companies supplying such medicines to pharmacies. A knowledge of the herbs, its production and the rationale of usage would be useful to help the pharmacist in advising patients on their use. The lectures will focus on the formulary and the rationale behind it, the production cycle, the QC in the production and more important the evidence supporting its use. It should also provide information on how to use.
