Advisory for the farmers
Crop
Phenophase
Advisory (Based on weather forecast)
 Sowing of late variety of wheat crop is advised. Apply 40 kg N, 40
kg P and 20 kg K per hectare at the time of sowing. PBW-373, HD2285,
HD-2967,HW-2045,HUW-234,WR-544,DBW-14,HD2643,NW-2036 varieties are recommended for late sowing. Keep
seed rate 125kg/ha through seed drill method and 150 kg/ha
Sowing/CRI
through broadcast method. Seed should be treated with Bavistin or
Wheat
stage
Thiram @ 2-2.5 g per kilogram. Stop the sowing of timely sown
wheat variety.
 Farmers are advised to give light irrigation in wheat crop which
reaches in Crown Root Initiation (CRI) stages (21-25 days after
sowing) and after 24-48 hours of irrigation broadcast nitrogenous
fertilizer.
Weeding and earthing- up in potato crop is advised. Give irrigation in
vegetative
Potato
every 10-15 days intervals in potato crop.
Weeding is advised & gives light irrigation in vegetable crops such as
Vegetable
Vegetative cauliflower, tomato, pea and cabbage. Application of remaining doses
crop
of fertilizer in 25-30 days old crop.
 Wrapping of plastic sheets around mango trunk should be done for
preventing and climbing of young mealy bugs. Apply grease to seal
any cracks in the polythene sheets.
 For control the infestation of fruit and shoot borer in brinjal crop
spray Quinalfos 25EC@1ml/L of water.
Pest
 Monitoring is advised for infection of early blight in potato and
Management:
tomato crop because of high relative humidity occurs. Spraying of
Di- Ethane M-45@2 gram/liter of water if infestation comes.
 Monitoring is advised for infestation of leaf feeders in Cabbage &
Cauliflower crop, if pest population is above ETL(Economic
Threshold Level) then spray Dimethoate 30 EC@1ml/L or
Spinosad @1 ml / 3 litre of water.
Farmers are advised to maintain temperature (25-28 °C) inside
Oyster
mushroom production room.

Low temperature condition may adversely affect the milk production
and performance of domestic animals. Farmers are advised to give

protein enriched diet to the animals. Do not keep the animal in the
open.
