I am sending you your copy of the comments from the peer review. You did a great job with everything. It was a very enjoyable peer review. It is easy to use, flows well and matches the standards. You should be proud of this accomplishment!!!

Relation to the Standards

Standard 3-Geography used PI #1 great idea focusing on one PI very well congruency table: clear how highlighted across the chart page 3 is clear the maps along with the detailed comprehension questions, prompt depth of thought

Intellectual Challenge map and comprehension questions very purposeful maps are important very concise

LE written in an organized manner and to the point, but thoroughly explains all key points higher level thinking is student centered/students work with each other while teacher acts as a facilitatator

Engagement draw map of their home—fun! great intro-question and Think-Pair-Share parent letter very realistic-made activities appropriate to their lives gives clear purpose draw map of their neighborhood how are maps important in our lives

Can you add PI related to life skills, map skills and math?

What did you provided for accelerated students? could use more analyzing with maps/map questions could require map to answer questions pretest to assess prior learning include key and scale label items

Could the students decide from their study what is important to include on their final map? Why is it of importance to exhibit synthesis of knowledge

What method did you use to keep students on task and motivated?

Where were students provided with additional time to explore extended practice activities?

Does “project turned in on time” belong with Purpose/Title in the rubric (page5)?

Assessment pre-test and post test teacher and student rubric use of post test graph meaningful feedback was provided rubric was easy to follow including breakdown of scoring clear and concise rubric liked the extended practice very detailed and easy to use for teacher

CD of lesson for those who have difficulty reading text (computer and map drawing area) helps visual learners use of different activities for different learning styles cooperative groups
