Announces its
One Month Teacher Training Course
A Certificate Course in Specific Learning Disabilities or Dyslexia
&
A 8 day Parents Training Course
MDA has been a pioneering organisation offering teacher - training programmes in the field of specific
learning disabilities or dyslexia since 1994. The course has been well recognized by schools, and
other organizations. It trains teachers to offer remedial help to children with learning difficulties. It is an
intensive one-month training course and after the successful completion a certificate is awarded to the
trainees.
Why a special training for dyslexia?
Dyslexia is a hidden disability and it can be often mistaken for laziness, stubbornness and an
indifferent attitude towards studies. So teachers need to be aware of what the condition is, how it
manifests and what kind of specialized help these children need so that they could be trained to cope
with their academics.
These children find it difficult to learn in the way they are taught in class and it is important for them to
be taught in the way they can learn. So each child has to be assessed to find out his/her strengths,
needs, learning styles, talents, and potential in order to plan and teach the child effectively.
While most B.Ed courses cover the regular teaching methodology, they do not cover the area of
learning disability, especially dyslexia. So a person who has done a B.Ed will also need this
specialized training in specific learning disabilities to be an effective teacher.
