Step 2: loading and shimming a sample 1. adjust sample position ---2.0cm of sample gauge. 2. type “l” to open lock-display. 3. type “b” to open BSMS-display. 1 4. in BSMS-display, select “sample” icon then “lift on/off” then load a sample tube to magnet. 5. type “lock”, select D-solvent to lock magnetic field. 6. type “rshs” to directly read a standard shimming file eg. shimnew.dual. 7. in BSMS-display, select “shim” icon to shim sample tube. 2 Step 3: data collection 1. in xwinnmr, type “edc” to create a new file. 3 only change NAME, EXPNO, DU and USER. 2. type “rpar st*”, select a experiment you need eg: st_1D_1H_dual. 4 3. type “rga” to find appropriate receiver gain. 4. type “ns” to enter the number of scan. 5. type “zg” to collect spectrum. Step 4: data process and spectrum output 1. type “ft” to do Fourier Transfer. 2. Click on “phase” icon to phase spectrum then “store” . 3. type “abs” to automatic baseline correllection. 4. type “view” to check the plotting spectrum. 5 5. type “edg” to adjust the plotting parameters eg: EDSPECT, ed, change cx, cy parameter and so on and/or TITLE, yes/no. 6. type “plot” to output the final spectrum from printer. Other essential commands in xwinnmr : 1. setres: change user interface eg. standard, extended, horizontal, uxnmr. Or change zg safety by on/off. 6 2. setti: set title text. 7
