Applications are invited for funds for support of research leading to the advancement of knowledge concerning the aetiology, prevention, treatment and/or social aspects of heart disease, stroke and respiratory illness.
Projects will be funded up to a maximum of £90,000 over up to three years. Salaries will be paid on the appropriate national scale of a member of staff, and increments made during the period of the research project will be honoured, up to the maximum award. Grants will cover a maximum period of three years.
Please contact us for guidelines for smaller sums (up to £5,000) for minor assistance, including assistance for a student’s research project.

Funds Committee.
Applications will only be considered from those living and working in Scotland.
CHSS does not support projects involving the use of animals.
