For Spring 2014
IPHY 3010-801 Teaching in Integrative Physiology (Physiology Lab)
Undergraduate Teaching Assistants (UGTA) Application
Due to the increased interest in the undergraduate teaching assistant program with the
physiology labs, all interested students are required to complete the following application.
UGTA offers will be based on the decision of the course coordinator and will take into
account, but not be limited to, the following criteria: performance in the class, Graduate TA
and Instructor feedback, teaching/meeting availability, expected date of graduation,
application quality, ability to follow directions, timeliness and ability to communicate
effectively with peers and supervisors.
Please return completed applications and schedule availability table to the Lab Coordinator
(molly.welsh@colorado.edu) by Friday, November 15th, no later than 5:00 pm. Your
application will not be considered until you have submitted your schedule
availability. You can apply for the position while currently enrolled in IPHY 3435, even if
you don’t know your final grade. UGTA offers will be dependent on the criteria listed above,
and your final grade (you must receive a B or better in the class). Depending on the number
of applicants, you may be contacted to schedule a 15-minute interview with the Lab
Coordinator that will take place in Ramaley N189 sometime during the week following the
application deadline. Decisions will be made no later than December 6th, pending your final
course grade, and you will be notified via e-mail.
