NOMINATIONS
(A)
Registered Females The original registration certificate (reverse side signed) is to be forwarded with
the nomination form. Transfers will only be affected if requested by the purchaser (buyer’s instruction sheet) at
vendor’s expense. Registered females must be in forward condition and of good quality and quiet temperament.
It is expected the upset price will be $600 for 12 months & under, $700 for 13 months & older. You can set a
reserve price higher than this as this is only a starting price which we will not go below. Females will be
inspected at a date to be fixed.
Cattle nominated in Registered section will be put in commercial section if they are not registered with
the Society at time of close of nominations. We will not be waiting like previous years for late
registrations, which holds up the printing of the catalogue.
(B) Commercial Females Must exhibit Droughtmaster characteristics & be of at least 50% Droughtmaster
blood, red in color. Please declare breeding if known.
It is expected the upset price will be $300 for 12 months & under, $400 for 13 months & older. You can set a
reserve price higher than this as this is only a starting price which we will not go below.
Females may be inspected at a date to be fixed.
AGES

(A) All ages to be stated as months of age as at sale date (25 January 2014) not at the nomination
(B) Cataloguing will be in order of oldest to youngest where practicable.
NOMINATION FEES
(A) Registered Females - $20 per head
(B) Commercial Females/steers - $6 per head
Note: Nomination fees will be deducted by Landmark from vendor’s sales account for all catalogued animals
regardless of sales. If vendor does not sell any animals they will be invoiced by Landmark for nominations.
Nominations will be payable if Sale cancelled for any reason.

VENDORS
All vendors are to be members of the Droughtmaster Breeders Society as at the close of
nominations. Vendors must be full members, Junior Members or Honorary members and belong to the Far
Northern Zone. Commercial members, Accredited & Associate members of the FNQ Zone will be able to
nominate commercial females and steers. If numbers short invited Vendors from Sale committee will be able to
participate.
IDENTIFICATION Vendor’s trading name, property number and ABN are to be quoted on the nomination
form. All animals must be NLIS tagged and accurate NVD waybills need to be presented on delivery at the
saleyards. All entries should be lot numbered as per the catalogue prior to arrival at the saleyards and the
firebrand stated on the nomination form.
Note: Tail tags are no longer required.
Note: No substitute females will be accepted after catalogue goes to print.
HEALTH STATUS All animals are to be visibly free of cattle ticks and other parasites and presented in a
healthy condition.
PREGNANCY STATUS All females over 30 months of age must have a calf at foot or carry a positive
PTIC certificate on delivery. PTIC certificates should be done three weeks prior to sale so they can be faxed or
emailed through to Jeff Williams so they can be included on a sheet that can be sent out with the catalogues.
Originals to be presented on day of sale. It is preferred if females are declared not in calf, they are written as to
the best of breeders knowledge have not been to a bull. Sale committee or Landmark will not take any
responsibility if declared not in calf and they are.
DELIVERY All cattle must be delivered to the saleyards by 7.00 a.m. on the morning of the sale. It would
be preferred if cattle were delivered Friday afternoon.
If numbers are too big preference will be given to Vendors who have supported sale previous years.
If you wish to make a recommendations for a change to the rules please contact one of the Sale committee
members and we will discuss, but we will be closing off very shortly so the conditions and nomination forms
can be put on the Droughtmaster web site and also so people know what is happening early.
