This is the starting point for mapping individual trade books to the standards. Literature and Informational Text Standards Key Ideas and Details Books that can be used to encourage: 1. Describing character development, setting/Identifying major events/ideas and relationships between / among them Craft and Structure Books that have strong: 4. How reason and evidence are used to support main idea (Informational Texts only) Books that invite readers to: 9.
