Litter Pick – 6 March 2010
Whatever the weather, we will be holding one of the regular litter picks around the village. Meet at the village hall for 10.00 and you’ll be given a black sack, litter grabber, fluorescent jacket and short route to cover.
These regular events really make a difference and help keep the village reasonable litter-free (that and John Wheeler) so if you can spare an hour, you’ll be more than welcome.
Homes on the Airfield
You may already know that an outline planning application has been submitted to Aylesbury Vale District council to build 72 homes on part of the Airfield site.
The application number is 10/00009/AOP. An outline planning application is submitted to establish that, in principle, homes can be built on the site; the actual detail will be part of the full application which will follow.
The Parish Council will be considering its response to the application on Monday
15 March and it will help us immensely if this response could reflect the views of the village.
We published details about the application in the latest newsletter that was delivered in January but responses have been slow in coming. Please let us know whether you think this is a good idea or not. If you don’t this is the best time to speak up before it is too late.
