I-Van – Mr. Fell had made enquiries with Community Impact Bucks regarding hiring the van for the Fete and Jubilee Day. It is fitted out with audio visual kit which would encourage young people to put forward their ideas which would be part of the Village Plan consultation process. Van is available for both these dates at a cost of £450 per day. It was felt that this was a lot of money and more information was required i.e. how many people it could accommodate per hour; had any other community used the facility for something similar, and if so were there examples we could see. Would there be any additional costs for staffing etc. and do they have any source of grants we could apply for. 4. Cost of advertising/leaflet distribution – Mr. Fell would find out rates that other publications charge for comparison purposes. 5. Website – haddenham.net is looking for someone to take over this website and discussion took place as to whether the PC would be interested in combining with our website. 6. Following the plea in the last Newsletter for photos of the village which could be put on the website Home Page – none were received. 7. Social Media – it was felt that we should get in line with current trends and enter the world of Twitter, Blog, Facebook, to reach the younger generation. Mr. Moore would write a blog. 8. To enhance and broaden the website content to include Discussion fora Village history Sub-sections for Village Society and Village Fete Directory of services and events To initiate the use of social media to engage and communicate with a greater proportion of residents on issues of local importance.
