RESIDENTS ARE ASKED TO HAVE THEIR TRASH/RECYCLING
CONTAINERS OUT BY 7:00AM ON THEIR RESPECTIVE DAYS.
RECEPTACLES MAY NOT BE PLACED OUT AT CURB MORE THAN
TWELVE (12) HOURS BEFORE SCHEDULED COLLECTION.
RECEPTACLES MUST BE REMOVED FROM CURB BY MIDNIGHT ON
THE DAY OF COLLECTION. VIOLATORS ARE SUBJECT TO FINES
RANGING FROM $25.00 TO $1,000.00.
BULK TRASH COLLECTION
For pick-up and disposal of refrigerators, air conditioners and any item containing freon, there is
a charge of $20.00 per item. For pick-up and disposal of washers, dryers, dishwashers, hot water
heaters or any metal appliance, there is charge of $10.00 for the first item, $5.00 each additional
item scheduled for the same day. In order to schedule a pick-up, you may mail a check or come to
the Ridley Township Municipal Building, 100 E. MacDade Blvd., Folsom, PA 19033. (If you mail
a check, be sure to include a note with your name, address of pick-up, phone number and item to
be disposed.) We will issue an authorized sticker to be placed on the item(s) indicating a pick-up
date. The item(s) can then be placed at your curb the night before the scheduled pick-up. Any
other household item (couch, cabinet, mattress, box spring, television, etc.) can be placed at your
curb for pick-up on your regular trash day. If you have any questions, please call 610-534-4800.
YARD WASTE COLLECTION
In addition to the annual Fall Leaf Collection Program, Ridley Township will have a “Yard Waste
Collection Day” on Wednesday, April 4, 2012. Sticks, branches and shrubbery trimmings will
be collected curbside from all residential properties on the 4 th. The diameter on tree branches
should be no wider than 4 inches and bundles should be no longer than 4 feet. Residents may
also drop off yard waste the first Wednesday of each month at the Ridley Township Maintenance
Garage, 2nd & Sutton Avenues, Folsom, PA from 8:00am to 3:00pm.
RECYCLING INFORMATION FOR BUSINESSES
Under the Township of Ridley’s Recycling Ordinance, businesses are required to report their
annual recycling weight totals. The recycling totals should be submitted by their trash and
recycling hauler. Completed PA Department of Environmental Protection forms should be
returned no later than March 1st annually.
SINGLE STREAM RECYCLING
Residents are requested to participate in Ridley’s Single Stream Recycling Program. All items
listed below may be placed in one, clearly marked container and placed curbside – no need to
separate items. Here are a few reminders:

WEDNESDAY is recycling day in Ridley Township.

Make sure your recycling containers are clearly marked with your “RECYCLE” sticker.
If you need additional “RECYCLE” stickers, stop by the Township office Monday
through Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm or call 610-534-4800 and we will gladly mail stickers.
DO NOT place any plastic bags out with your recycling. The plant that processes our
recyclable materials will not accept any items in plastic bags.

