REQUIREMENTS TO EXECUTION OF ARTICLES, SUBMITTED TO COLLECTION OF RESEARCH
PAPERS “HERALD OF LVIV STATE UNIVERSITY OF LIFE SAFETY”
Thematic direction of the Herald: original and review papers in the sphere of pedagogic and technical
sciences in such directions: theory and methodology of professional education; pedagogy of higher school; life
safety; occupational safety; technogeneous and environmental safety; informatics and automation; information
technologies; information security; project and program management.
During execution of papers it is necessary to follow the requirements related to professional publication of
Ukraine.
The articles must be submitted either in Ukrainian, Russian or Polish and English (obligatory) (Order # 1111
of 17.10.2012 by Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine).
Materials of articles should contain theoretical and experimental results of scientific researches, as well as
completed results of thesis researches. For numeric data, except well-known quantities, a citation of original source
should be given.
Articles should be edited and signed by the author. The capacity of article is not less than 5 pages of printed
text, including pictures, tables and references.
Text of the article must be printed on A4 format sheets (210 х 297 mm);
- 12 font size, Times New Roman Cyr;
- 1.5 interval;
- indentation – 1.0 cm;
- margins: left – 2.5 cm, right – 1.5 cm, top and bottom – 2.0 cm;
- without page enumeration;
Materials in the article are laid out in the following order :
UDC (Universal decimal classifier)
Initials and surnames of authors, academic degree, academic rank, (in brackets – authors’
place of work)
TITLE OF ARTICLE (CAPITAL LETTERS, BOLD FONT, CENTERED)
With an interval of a line
Annotation in language of the article (minimum capacity is 500 printed symbols), which
contains characteristic of main theme, object’s problem, paper’s objective and its results, as well
as information about scientific novelty of materials presented in the article (centered, with an
interval of a line, font size -10)

Key words in language of the article ( 3-10 words )
With an interval of two lines
Text should contain: statement of problem in general appearance and its connection to
significant scientific and practical tasks; analysis of latest researches and publications in the theme, the
author bases oneself on, selection of previously unsolved parts of general issue, to which the given article
is dedicated; formation of goals of the article (problem statement); description of main material of
research with complete reasoning of received scientific results; conclusion on the research and
perspectives of further researches in this direction. Main text of the article; pictures must be distinct
(maximum size 12х12 cm); formulas – typed in formula editor; abbreviation and symbolic notation of
physical quantities – correspond to current international standards. Letter symbols, which are in formulas,
should be decoded, stating units of measurement; numeration of formulas is continuous (number is stated
in round brackets near right text margin). Formulas, tables and pictures are separated from the text by a
line.
Captions under pictures and titles of tables are performed in italic.

REFERENCES
1. When a reference in text is made to works of other authors, a position number of references, given at the end of
article, is indicated in square brackets.
2. References are executed in accordance with requirements and rules of formation of a document’s bibliographic
description.
After the references initials and surnames of authors, title (CAPITAL LETTERS), annotation of the article
and keywords are given in three languages (Ukrainian, Russian and English).
Expert conclusion and external review (extract from minutes of department enabling publication of the
article – for workers of the university) are attached to the article.
One printed copy of the article and its electronic version are submitted to editorial staff and to the following
e-mail: visnuk_ubgd@ukr.net
Decision about publication of the article’s copy is taken by editorial board of the Collection. Copy of the
article is not returned to the authors.
