EACH PUPIL WILL ONLY GET ONE COPY VENUE Alloa Town Hall TIME 6.15pm - 8.00pm (approx) (8.30pm bronze & above) DRESS REHEARSALS Mon 14th Tues 15th Tues 22nd Monday classes and cheer classes (bronze & above optional) Tuesday Tiny Tots/Wednesday classes/Tuesday classes Saturday classes/Tuesday classes Enter the hall, using the stage door, no earlier than 15 mins before your given time. This is a rehearsal and finish times are approximate . The theatre will be closed during rehearsal. THE DISPLAY ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Weds 23rd Tuesday Tots/Wednesday classes/All cheer classes Thurs 24th Monday classes/Pussycats Fri 25th Saturday classes Tuesday classes (bronze-seniors only) and Wildcats will perform in all 3 shows At the moment, I don’t know if I have enough volunteers to do hair so you may just have to do it yourself - get practising!! If your child requires their hair to be plaited, arrive no later than 5.30pm If your child is arriving with hair already plaited, arrive no later than 6.30pm Dressers in each room will dress children for the rest of the performance ALL DANCERS should go to the toilet in the hall before the show starts and at the interval. . -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ARRIVAL TIME IMPORTANT Show nights - dancers enter using the stage door, parents/carers exit the same way to return to the front door. No-one should be in the theatre before 6.30pm. ONCE IN THE THEATRE - PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE A SPARE SEAT BESIDE YOU THE PERSON NEXT TO YOU. THIS CAUSES MAJOR PROBLEMS. ALL CHILDREN SITTING ON A SEAT MUST HAVE A TICKET. END OF SHOWW Tiny Tots & Starlite parents/carers remain in the theatre, your children will be brought there 1st Steps - Gd I Parents/carers collect your child from the dressing room but inform the dresser on the door before you leave the room Bronze - Senior groups will be allowed to meet parents at the stage door. All of this may take a little time but it is done for your childs safety. COSTUMES Please do not take home any costume or part of it. Most groups will have their costumes in a bag with their name on it. This is then your childs responsibility. Any costumes lost or damaged will have to be paid for in full. REFRESHMENTS NO FIZZY JUICE OR FOOD ALLOWED IN THE DRESSING ROOMS! Bring bottled water only, please. No food of any kind should be brought backstage. Please bring your own refreshments for the interval. DVDS No photographs or moving images may be taken of pupils at the rehearsals or shows. The official DVDs will be given out at the first class of the new term. These items will NOT be available to order on the night, they must be ordered before the show. CLASSES - Final classes will be Weds 16th, Fri 16th, Sat 19th & Mon 21st .Classes will restart in August. HELPERS Thanks to all the mums & dads who have volunteered to help. If your help is required a separate letter will follow shortly. Only authorised dressers are allowed in the dressing rooms. Only women & girls allowed backstage HAIR ETC. Hair should be worn up and off the face in 2 french plaits at the back of the head. Use only small brown coloured bands & clasps. Hair should be firmly gelled/sprayed into place. If you are unable to have your hair plaited at home, we may have a few volunteers who will be able to do it for you (1st come, 1st served). Please arrive at the hall with hair properly brushed through & wet (but not washed, otherwise it will be too soft to plait). Bring your own brush, comb & hair gel/spray. If you can have your hair plaited at home, please do so. Tiny tots can wear a tight, low ponytail or bun. Cheerleaders hair in high ponytail. NO JEWELLERY (especially ear-rings) NO MAKE UP NO TATTOOS NO BELLY BARS CHECKLIST 1. Red class uniform leotard 2. Red class uniform skirt. Cheerleaders - black skirt 3. Black tap shoes 4. Black ballet shoes/jazz shoes Cheerleaders - white jazz shoes/trainers (no colours or lights) 5. Black jazz pants (Bronze & above only) 6. Red class t-shirt/zippie (if you have one, please wear this) 7. Sheer honey beige dancers world tights (no alternatives) - I may still have some available 8. Ideally, no pants should be worn as you will be wearing your tights but if you must wear them, Flesh coloured pants.White or coloured pants will glow under the UV lights (All pants must be high cut or thongs & not seen under leotards. Make sure you test this before the rehearsal 9. Flesh coloured bra (if required). **You can dye white cotton underwear with a teabag & salt if neccessary! 10. Plenty of kirby grips and safety pins 11. NAME ON ALL DANCEWEAR INCLUDING TIGHTS & BAG 12. Bag for belongings PLEASE NOTE - the dress rehearsal is exactly that & should be treated just like the actual show therefore all of the required items should be worn. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS TINY TOTS White ankle socks, plain, no frill or colours (try Primark) STARLITES White ankle socks (as above), Black 40 denier tights INTERMEDIATES White button clip-on ear-rings (80’s style!) BRONZE & ABOVE Crystal deoderant - one that will not leave white marks on costumes CHEERLEADERS White ankle socks, plain, no frills, colours or lacy bits SENIOR OPENING - 3 Black comfortable clothing with florescent accent. - each group knows it’s own colour I hope I have covered everything here but if not, just ask!
