Congress Overview
The meeting will continue the tradition of high quality, cutting-edge research presentations that inform
the community of advances in model legumes and their applications in crop improvement.
The meeting will bring together model legume researchers with diverse scientific and cultural
backgrounds and reinforce the cohesion within the international community between researchers from
both developed and developing countries. This should help to establish experimental strategies aimed
at a closer integration between model and cultivated legumes.
Topics
The congress will be organized in sessions covering current and emerging areas of research:
1. Genome sequencing
2. New and developing technologies
3. Biotic interactions
3a Symbiosis
3b Pathogens
4. Abiotic interactions
5. Development and physiology
6. From model to cultivated legumes
7. Integrative biology
