Terms and Conditions for Air First Ltd
Availability and Booking your Lesson – All lessons must be booked in advance subject to
availability. In order to avoid disappointment we recommend customers book well in advance and do
not arrange transport until the booking has been confirmed by Air First Ltd.
Please ensure that adequate time is allowed in order to book your lesson. Weekend days are the
busiest times and therefore a longer period of notice maybe required in order to satisfy a specific
time, day or date (approx. 2-3 weeks).
Shorter notice bookings can be made but cannot be guaranteed. If a specific time/day is not
important to you and the weather looks fine an ‘On the Day’ booking may be possible – phone and
ask!
We conduct various types of introductory lesson so please ensure you indicate what type of lesson
your voucher entitles you to (i.e. 2 or 4 seat, aeroplane or helicopter, 30 or 60 minute lesson).
You will need to bring 2 forms of identification with you when you come for your lesson. This should
be one photographic (passport, driving license) and a proof of address (telephone, water, gas,
electricity). Please ask to speak to the Operations Manager if you are not able to supply an
appropriate means of identification.
For those friends and family that may wish to join you at the airport, you may also use this
opportunity to check the various facilities available (café, restaurant, bar etc.).
The instructor allocated for the lesson will make the final decision judging the weather conditions.
Please do not arrive at the venue expecting to redeem your gift voucher without first obtaining
confirmation of availability from Air First Ltd. Air First Ltd will not be held liable for your travel costs
incurred if you do not follow the procedure set out in these terms and conditions.
The Day of your Lesson - Telephone the flying school before leaving home to check that the
weather is suitable for your lesson. The weather can look great from the ground but may not be
appropriate for your type of flight. Conversely, the weather may not look very good from the ground
but may be lovely in the air!
Remember to bring your two forms of identification – you won’t be allowed to fly without them!
If you have a gift voucher – make sure you find it and bring it with you.
Find your camera or camcorder and check it has film and power.
Flying one of our modern aeroplanes can be likened to driving a car so no special clothing is
required. Wear comfortable clothes – Ladies, high heels are not advisable!
Plan to arrive 15 minutes before your booking is due to start so that a small amount of paperwork
may be completed in plenty of time before your lesson.
Arriving at the Flying School - Report to the operations desk where a member of staff will book
you in and help you complete your membership form. You will be asked to provide your proofs of
identification; these will be copied and attached to your membership form. Note: Everyone that flies
from our school must be a valid member. Membership is included free for the duration of an
introductory flight.
Relax; you’re going to have a wonderful experience!
Validity – Each gift voucher is valid for a maximum of 6 months unless otherwise stated. A voucher
will be deemed to be invalid if it is out of date (the validity is clearly stated on the gift voucher). If the
customer or recipient is unable to utilise the voucher before the expiry date then upon the customer
contacting Air First Ltd prior to the expiry date and paying an administration fee of £20.00 + VAT (if
the price has increased they will also need to pay the difference from the original cost to the new
cost) Air First Ltd shall issue an extension of 3 months. Once a voucher has been extended it cannot
be refunded. Vouchers can only be extended if they are still inside their expiry date. Air First Ltd
recommends that all experiences are booked as early as possible. The voucher must be booked and
flown before the expiry date, Air First Ltd will not accept any bookings while still valid but with the
intension to fly after unless the revalidation fee has been paid.
