Call for Articles by Creative Industry Experts Attn: Gallery owners, publishers, grant-writers, arts-funding organizations, agents, journalists, established artists and writers, museum staff and others working in the arts Essay—Mental Contagion—Online arts and literature journal has opened a call for submissions from experts working in arts and literary industries. Accepted articles will be featured online for 2 months, as part of a ‘how-to’ guide in Mental Contagion’s new feature Creative’s Field Guide, accessible via archive thereafter. The purpose of the feature is to assist artists and writers in achieving goals through understanding successful strategies and common mistakes for the following: • Submission of artwork or manuscripts • Submission of supporting materials (biographies, statements, etc…) • Portfolio presentation • Conceptual style or creative approach • Grant writing • Communication • Other suggestions welcome (you’re the expert) Benefits: • Be a guiding voice in the community by helping artists and writers succeed • Raise your personal or organization public profile and image • Build public relations assets • Develop content for press releases highlighting community involvement • Build bibliography material for your resume or biography Details: • 400-800 words • Unpaid • Accepted articles must be previously unpublished • In the event that a print edition of Creative’s Field Guide is developed for publication, authors will be contacted regarding terms specific to the print format and permission for inclusion.
