Jean Patel, Pharm.D., BCPS Dr. Patel is the Clinical Coordinator for the Department of Pharmacy at Northwestern Memorial Hospital (NMH), and a clinical pharmacist in Infectious Diseases. She has been at NMH since 1998, first serving as Practice Coordinator and clinical pharmacist in Critical Care, before joining the Infectious Diseases and Antimicrobial Stewardship teams. She served as a panel member of the Northwestern University Investigational Review Board from 2002-2006. She is also involved with staff development and training in her role as Clinical Coordinator for the department of pharmacy. She became a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist in 2007. Dr. Patel is involved with the clinical training of pharmacy students and residents, and participates in clinical research in the areas of clinical pharmacy and infectious diseases. She is an Instructor and Course Co-coordinator for Pharmacology at the Northwestern University School of Family and Community Medicine. Dr. Patel is a member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, and the Illinois Council of Health Systems Pharmacists. Dr. Patel earned her BS and Doctorate in Pharmacy from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy, and completed postgraduate residency training at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Hospital and Clinics.
