Covering Legal Liability and No Fault Compensation in respect of accidental Injury of any Research Subject arising out of the Business
Business The undertaking of any Clinical Trial by the Insured within Great Britain
Northern Ireland the Channel Islands the Isle of Man.
Geographical Limits Great Britain Northern Ireland the Channel Islands the Isle of Man.
Research Subject Research Subject shall mean any resident of Great Britain Northern Ireland the Channel Islands the Isle of Man participating in a Clinical Trial.
Limit of Indemnity GBP10,000,000 any one Event and all Events happening during any Period

Principal Exclusions The following summarises the principal exclusions applying to your policy.This is not a conclusive list and you must refer to your policy for full details.
The indemnity/compensation will not apply in respect of:
Research Subjects known to be pregnant.
Trials assisting with or altering in any way the process of conception or investigating methods of contraception.
Trials where the substance under investigation has been designed and manufactured by the Insured.
Trials where the number of Research Subjects exceeds 5000.

The Insured must keep an accurate record of each Clinical Trial undertaken.
The Insured must obtain the ABPI recommended indemnity or equivalent where a Clinical Trial is sponsored by a pharmaceutical manufacturer or similar organization
Special Conditions This is a "Claims Made" policy and only covers claims notified to Insurers during the period of insurance. Cover ceases at the above expiry date and can only be renewed when Insurers have received and accepted the relevant annual declaration form
