·Create or modify artwork, tools, and programs for average
complexity designs using “PADS PERFORM” or
appropriate software working within a project team.
· Check design work to customer specification using
design guidelines.
· Create support documentation for new programs,
including tooling, detail, assembly, and test fixture
drawings.
· Provide support to manufacturing by creating
ECR/ECNs for quick turnaround and checking ECNs
generated.
· Maintain CAD files on individual hard drive and
network drive.
· Assist in training of entry level designers.
· Check work of other designers.
· Evaluate software for increased functionality.
· Create artwork, tools, and programs that are error free
and completed in a timely manner.
· Work with new customers to understand their individual
specifications and needs.
· Responsible for purchase of artwork.
· Assist with the purchase of SRDs, hard tools and test
fixtures.
· Adjust schedules for immediate support to Sales or
Operations based on current business requirements.
Involved day-to-day design issues as they arise and
adjust design guides as necessary to support current
design needs.
· Minimum of a HS diploma or equivalent with some
technical school training.
· AS degree in electrical or mechanical design preferred.
· Strong communication skills.
· Proven organizational and problem solving/decision
making skills required.
· Minimum of 3 years PC design experience with expert
knowledge of industry drafting and tolerancing
standards required.
