WSPS Board Application – Operation Self-Care
Each spring semester, the Wisconsin Society of Pharmacy Students (WSPS) elects and appoints a new WSPS Board. The
Patient Care Projects include Operations Airways, Diabetes, Immunizations, Heart, and Self-Care, as well as
GenerationRx, MedDrop, Organ Donation Awareness, United Way/PSW Liaison and Personal Health Partners. These cochairs are appointed earlier in the semester to allow the incoming chairs adequate time to shadow the outgoing cochairs. Patient Care Project Chairs are members of Team Community Outreach.
The applications for the Patient Care Project chairs are due Saturday, March 21st at 10pm.

Candidates must be a current WSPS member and must remain a member while holding this position.
Preference will be given to those candidates who have had prior experience in the position they are applying for.
Patient Care Projects are typically co-chaired by two people.
Each candidate must fill out one application for each co-chair position, if applying for more than one co-chair
position.
You may only co-chair one position within the board of WSPS.
Appointments will be made by Wednesday, March 25th, 2015. All applicants will be notified by email of the
results. All results will be announced at the General Meeting on Tuesday, April 7th.
The incoming Patient Care Project Chairs will be trained and attend a transition meeting before induction at the
final meeting of the semester.
All officers will be sworn in together at induction during the final meeting of the semester on Tuesday, April 21 st.
All Patient Project co-chairs will be required to attend the WSPS Spring 2015 Board Planning meeting to be held
on Monday, May 4th from 5:30pm-7:00pm.
Fill out the form below and email it to Kristin Widmer at kwidmer@wisc.edu. A confirmation email will be sent out when
your email is received. This application is due by Saturday, March 21st at 10pm.
The Executive Council will review applications and appoint co-chair(s) in the following order:
Operation Heart, Operation Diabetes, Operation Self-Care, Operation Immunization, GenerationRx, Operation Airways,
Organ Donation Awareness, Personal Health Partners, MedDrop, PSW/United Way Liaison.
For example, if you submit two applications, one for Operation Heart and one for Operation Self-Care, you will first be
considered for the Operation Heart position with all who turned in an application for Operation Heart. If you are not
appointed to that position, you will be considered for Operation Self-Care.
The rest of the Board will be appointed at a later time after Patient Care Project chairs are appointed. These positions
include: Membership, Fundraising, Professionalism, Webmaster, SPAN Liaison, IPSF Liaison, ASHP Liaison, and APhA
Liaison. Thus, if you are not appointed to a Patient Care Position, you can apply again for another Board position.
