Scope of Work
The scope of work shall include researching the human history of the landscape,
historical resources, and tangible cultural resources limited by the boundaries of
the historic Landon Farm property and the Round Pond State Park respectively, as
well as their connection to the broader history of South Hero.
Goals
The goal of our research is to interpret the information gathered from historical
research and the discovery of tangible cultural resources that can be found on the
landscape and to assess their significance and connection to the history of the
landscape.
Research Methods
The methodology for the research shall involve preliminary investigation of the
historical context, investigation of the tangible cultural resources, and the
interpretation of the historical and cultural resources including their connection to
the landscape history and their significance.
Deliverables
Deliverables shall include presentation and documentation of the above ground
cultural resources of the Round Pond State Park with assessment of their
historical significance. The presentation shall include power point presentation
and verbal discussion of the cultural resources in the context of their historical
significance. The documentation shall serve as the Cultural Resource section of
the Landscape Inventory, Assessment and Recommendations Report for the
Round Pond State Park with corresponding photographs of the cultural resources
(to be supplied by the LIA consultants).
