Advent sponsors Bone Marrow Registry Recruitment Drive

Mark your calendars! Our church on April 10th will be sponsoring a marrow recruitment drive in
honor of our fellow congregation member, Tom Tonn, who is being treated for Multiple Myeloma.
Be The Match RegistrySM, which is operated by the National Marrow Donor Program, will be at
our church on Sunday, April 10th from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM to give you the unique opportunity to
join the Be The Match RegistrySM in honor of Tom in hopes to match him or another patient like
him.
By becoming a member of the Registry, you could be a match for a patient like Tom who is
suffering from leukemia, lymphoma or other life-threatening diseases —maybe even be the only
person who could save their life!
Joining the Be The Match RegistrySM is as easy as 1-2-3!
1.
Meet the age, health and weight requirements and be willing to help any patient in need.
2.
Complete a confidential consent form with contact information, health history questions, and
a signed agreement to join the Registry.
3.
Conduct a painless cheek swab so your tissue type can be identified.
