Neighborhood Ministries 75 Jackson Street Campbell, OH 44405 January/February 2006 Welcome to 2006 This past year has been an exciting one for us at Neighborhood Ministries and we have so many challenges and opportunities ahead. As we prepare for the New Year I would like to share several thoughts: • A big thank you to Dr. Tammy King for her service to Neighborhood Ministries. Tammy is stepping down after four years as our board president. I have been blessed by her leadership and commitment to those we serve. And a big thank you to Nancy Bare for stepping into the role as board president. • Welcome to new board member Terrica Wilson, who has been a friend to Neighborhood Ministries for some time and desires to use her gifts to impact our communities in greater ways. • Our board will be evaluating the results from strategic planning done 1 1/12 years ago and will be developing new goals and objectives for Neighborhood Ministries. As always, we will continue to seek the Lord’s direction for everything we are doing. • We are continuing to develop programming at the Fairview Arts and Outreach Center. A number of churches in Ohio have expressed an interest in organizing groups to come up and see a production. While you are certainly welcome to join us for Top Hat Production’s Passion play, The Earth Trembled, we are working on a mission tour weekend, inviting churches associations and others to join us for tours of Neighborhood Ministries and an evening of dinner theater at our newest location. Please contact me if this is something you would be interested in organizing for your group or church. We would love to have you visit. • We are restructuring our after-school program. This is the result of the hard work of many people and I thank God for the willingness of so many people to sacrifice time, resources and energy so that God’s Word can be told. • I ask for your continued prayers for our board, staff and committee members and their families. I ask for prayer for our new initiatives like our new after-school program model. I ask for your prayers for our Kirwan Homes community, specifically that the Lord would show us what our role is in addressing the enormous needs we see. God’s blessings to you this coming year. May His peace and His presence surround you daily and may you come to know fullness of life in Him.
