Description
Provide a description of the community. A reference to a detailed description could be included. It is
preferable to include as supporting evidence an objective analysis of environmental data which
shows the distinctiveness of the community.
Habitat
Describe the typical environmental conditions where the community occurs, including reference to
landform, elevation, aspect, geology, soil type, rainfall, etc.
Distribution,
extent and
condition
Describe the distribution, extent and condition of the community throughout Victoria. If distribution
has declined, this could best be demonstrated by including maps of past and present recorded
distribution.
Threats
Identify any threats which are affecting the community or might do so in the future.
Special need
If a narrowly defined community is being nominated, identify the additional special need to conserve
it.
Eligibility
criteria
Indicate which of the primary criteria and sub-criteria stated in the Regulations the item satisfies, on
what evidence the case is based and cite the sources of this evidence. The evidence may have been
presented in full in the sections on "Distribution" or "Threats" above, but in this section a summary
of the logic of the case should be provided. Unsupported statements which need to be verified delay
the SAC's consideration of the nomination.
