Spring Semester 2009 – 0.75 Unit (3 Credits)
Introduction
The three integral parts of land-grant universities are teaching, research, and extension. Training in extension/outreach should be
considered as important as it is in research and teaching. An extension specialist/educator must be able to transform the information into
terms the clientele can understand readily; this obviously involves effective information-delivery skill. In this course, 26 specialists from
the University of Illinois will offer the up-to-date information/skills on conducting effective Extension/Outreach programs. .
