High School Program - Overview
U19, U16, U14* (Ages 14+)



Players are assigned to an appropriate age / skill level team and will practice together up to 3 times per week or 4.5
hours for the Indoor and Spring Outdoor Season. 
Indoor Season: November 2013 thru mid-March 2015. 18 weeks @ 4.5 hours
weekly. Players applying for the number 1 team in each age division will commence
weekly training 1 October, weekends. 


Indoor Tournaments: 
o Attend four tournaments, one in-house ECFH tournament. (Additional tournaments available) 
o Attend a National Indoor Tournament Qualifier with the objective to play in the National Indoor Tournament
in late February/early March. Tournament sites not released by US Field Hockey. 
o The four off site tournaments will be attended by each team at either the Training Center or the Rt. 422
Complex by Pottstown, PA. Approximately a 1.5 hr. drive. 
o One ECFH indoor tournament will be held where all ECFH teams and several outside teams play in a
tournament at the ECFH Indoor Training Center. 
Spring Season: April thru May, with optional Showcase tournaments attended in June/July. 12 weeks @ 4.5 weekly.
Spring Tournaments: 
o Attend four College Tournaments. Distance may vary. Overnight trips will not be required, but will be
offered. (Additional tournaments are available. Last year avg. of 9 attended). 
o A National Club Championship (NCC) Team (11v11) will be formed by age group to attend a NCC
Qualifier. Tryouts will occur in March for those interested. Separate training fees for this program. 
Players not required to tryout. This is separate from the normal 7 v 7 tournaments attended. 
o ALL players will participate in the 7 v 7 Spring Tournaments, even those that are on the NCC team. . 
Each age group will again have a High Performance Team. Interested players will be invited to register for this team
and selections will be made by the Coaching Team. The details and additional costs for those selected will be
reviewed with the individual selected players. 
*U14 players will be invited by Coach Gaudette to participate in the U14 High School Program. If not selected, the
player will be on the U14 team in the Junior Development Program. 












Junior Program – OVERVIEW
U7, U8, U10, U12, U14* – Ages 14 and below











Players are assigned to an appropriate age / skill level team and will practice together. We understand other
commitments of the players in this age group. Other than the U14 players that are invited up to the High School
Program, we will work with parents to make sure you daughter can participate in the indoor program. An email to us
to discuss is ENCOURGAED. 
The number of sessions per week will vary by age group and player commitment. There are sign- ups for two sessions
per week to three times per week for the Indoor and Spring Outdoor Season. Under Age 9 is a pay as you play and
will be at least one session per week to start. The number of sessions may increase depending on the interest level. 
Indoor Season: November thru mid-March 2016. Junior Program has their own indoor field hockey
field. Indoor Tournaments: 
o Not mandatory. Attendance at tournaments or the number of tournaments will be decided based on the
player/parent interest level. Last year, four tournaments were attended in each season. More are available.
Travel to tournaments is limited to a maximum of two hours 
Spring Season: March thru May. Training held at the ECFH Outdoor training facilities at various local
field locations: In the Net, CV HS, Hempt Farm Fields, Twin Ponds, & Nook Sports. Several players
may be invited to additionally train with Coach Gaudette in an accelerated program on one of the Astro
Turf fields. 
Spring Tournaments: 
o Not mandatory. Again, tournament opportunities will be made available to players.
o Distance will be within 2 hrs. No overnight trips. 
*U14 players (age 12 to 14) could have the opportunity to play on the U14 High School Team Program. Players will be
selected to by the coaching staff. If not selected, the same training opportunities are offered in the Junior Program. 

week program offered for each age group, U14-U8 (ages 4-9). Cost depending on program selected

Coaches may suggest a younger player move up to next level
based on skill. Youth Goalies – pay 50% off Club fee.
If a Junior Program player is invited to play on theU14 High School program once the season begins, she will
pay the High School Program Fee (prorated).
Fees include a tournament uniform that will be returned at the end of the season.
There is flexibility with practice session attendance. Please discuss with Coach if there are conflicts.

Training - Tentative Schedules

High School Program: 
o OPEN FIELD IN October - Sunday evenings.
o New players can attend to learn about ECFH.
o November there is at least two sessions per week for High School Program.
o December – Feb. at least three sessions per week for High School Program.
o Team Selection begins in later November for start of full training first week of December.
o Tournaments will begin December or January 2016.
o Final practice schedules cannot be completed until the team rosters are completed.
o Practice times range from 4:40 to 9:30 p.m., M-TH, Friday TBA., Weekends 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
o Agility and Conditioning sessions offered three days per week at indoor facility at an added cost.

Junior Program: 
o OPEN FIELD IN OCTOBER - Sunday evenings.
New players attend to learn about ECFH
o November – Junior Program Season starts.
o Junior Program team formation is determined based on player participation.
o Tournaments will be offered in January 2016.There is no tournament deposit. Tournaments are
billed as attended.
o Final practice schedules cannot be completed until the number of players is determined by training
group.
o Practice times range from 4:45 to 8: p.m., M-Fri., Weekends 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

OFFER TO PLAY / CLUB INFORMATION
This is the official OFFER TO PLAY for ECFH Club; you will be expected to make every effort to comply with
reasonable expectations of the East Coast Field Hockey Club. Whatever Age Group; the following will apply as
appropriate per Age Group:





























Commit to a one-year participation contract on one of East Coast Field Hockey Club’s teams October 1, 2015 thru
September 30, 2016. An annual Registration fee of $65.00 is required with registration form and player information
sheets for ALL players, current and new players. 
Program will need to attend all ECFH events; in the event there is a conflict between high school event and a Club
event, excluding the high school normal playing season, ECFH program takes preference over High School. 
At NO TIME may a player be registered with two field hockey clubs, according to USA Field Hockey Rules. Players
may not register with another field hockey club to attend a USA Field Hockey Sanctioned Qualifier. If a player does
register with another field hockey club, without prior approval by the ECFH Director, will result in immediate
termination of the Club membership and any fees paid to date will not be refunded. 
Commit to attend all scheduled training sessions with designated team or practice time. If unable to attend, 24 hours
in advance is expected. Email or call your coach. 
Arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time in designated practice uniform 
Attend all tournaments where assigned and arrive 60 minutes prior to the start of each game. If unable to attend due to
emergency, contact your coach or team parent at least 5 days prior to the game so that your team can be re-organized. 
Fees for every tournament will be paid equally by each team member independent of participation in a particular
tournament. 
Bring the equipment for each practice and game – shoes, shin guards, mouth guard, glove, stick and water bottle. 
Dress properly to represent East Coast Field Hockey in each local, regional, state, national or international event. 
Realize that your playing time will depend on how dedicated and motivated you are at practice both in the Center and
on your own, your discipline on and off the field and your technical and tactical skill development. An important goal
is having a team of not only superior skilled players, but players highly committed to excellence on and off the pitch.
Being part of East Coast Field Hockey does not mean equal playing time for everyone. You will play the amount of
time you earn. 
“Boyfriends” will not attend practices to watch. Boyfriends attending tournaments will attend with the player’s
parent(s). At no time, is a player to leave during the tournament or event with the boyfriend. At all times, the player is
expected to properly represent herself and the ECFH club while attending an ECFH sponsored event. Unacceptable
public display of affection may result in the player being suspended from play at the tournament. 
Alcohol, cigarettes and illegal substances use or possession are not permitted nor tolerated as a player of ECFH.
ECFH takes a firm stance on this and the player is subject to immediately release from the Club if the Director is
made aware of any infractions. If a Player is suspended from play at school as a result of any unacceptable behaviors,
ECFH reserves the right to terminate or suspend Club membership. 
Work is not an accepted excuse for missing a scheduled game or practice. 
Players and parents must realize that anyone coaching your team at any particular time will be coaching under the
guidance Coach Gaudette. 
Parent(s), family and friends will conduct themselves in a positive, respectful manner at all times during practices and
/ or tournaments. 
Unacceptable language and/or behaviors displayed by parents, family or friends, will not be permitted. 
Players in this club have various skill levels, ability levels, potential and ambitions. The Coaches at ECFH are trained
to recognize the different skill levels and potential of players and decisions on team placement 
are made accordingly. 
ECFH is a family oriented club. Players from surrounding States and at least 25 school districts are members of
ECFH. Parents are encouraged to refrain from making negative comments toward other players, parents, teams or 

about other schools while attending ECFH functions. Overhead negative side bar conversations and comments at
practices and tournaments can be extremely hurtful and potentially harmful to young ladies.
 Unpleasant or negative comments on social media from parents or players about ECFH or players, will not be
 tolerated and may lead to suspension or termination from ECFH 
 For serious health, sickness and/or or other emergency reasons, a player needs to suspend play for the season, an
email to Coach Gaudette requesting an appropriate refund of fees is acceptable. Fees will be prorated. If the request
comes in during after February 1, 2014, no refunds will be provided. Refunds are for club fees only, not for
 tournaments fees, uniforms, equipment, etc. 
 Recruiting. It is the responsibility of the player and parent to make the appropriate contacts to college coaches of the
player’s interest to attend their college and in advance of any tournaments being attended. It is not the responsibility
of ECFH or Coach Gaudette to contact college coaches regarding any player at ECFH. 
 Coach Gaudette IS available to provide feedback and/or assist as appropriate with college selection. 
 Coaching is under the direction of Coach Gaudette at all times. Guest Div. 1 and II college players, whom are alumni of 
ECFH and understand Coach Gaudette’s coaching philosophy, are invited to coach at practices and tournaments. It is a
great opportunity for current ECFH players to meet and have open conversation with former players and current
college field hockey players. 
Additional Fees:

Game Uniform Fee: ESTIMATED At $150.00 per full set. Need a red and white set. Total $300.00. Every
player, except the youth program, must own or rent a uniform in order to participate in tournaments. Youth
 Program uniforms are provided when attending tournaments. 

 Reversible Practice shirts will be required. $25. 
 One practice uniform will be required. $100.00. 
 Hockey Glove: $30. Each player must own at least one full hockey glove. A full glove for both hands is
 highly recommended for indoor hockey. Elite players are recommended to wear 2 full hand gloves. 
 Custom Mouth Guard: $50 - $150 each player must own a professionally molded, field hockey grade mouth Guard. 
 Shin Guards: $30 each player must own one pair of rigid field hockey shin guards 
 Sticks. Outdoor and indoor season requires a different style stick. Wood indoor sticks 
 ECFH does not sell protection gear. Visit local sporting goods stores or on line for equipment. 
Additional Opportunities (optional):
 Annual Festival Tournament, West Palm Beach, FL. Estimated budget is $2,500. 
 Germany Trip –February 14 – 22, 2016. Practicing with national male and female teams. Several spots still open if
 interested in registering. Estimate price: $1,800. . 
 Disney Showcase Tournament. 
 Agility and Conditioning Program - three sessions per week. Cost estimated at: $50.00/mo. 

 ECFH Summer Camps (Elite): Two week summer training course coached by Olympic Coach Mendoza and
Argentina’s world famous Olympic Champions and National Coaching Staffs. This course of instruction is a
 course that provides college credit. It is not merely a summer camp. (fees may change without notice). 
 ECFH Summer Camps (all levels): Summer camps are held by Coach Gaudette from June thru
August. Summer Camp schedule will be communicated in a separate email. 
College recruiting services and profile development are available to all players.
 ECFH offers Video Taping and Player Profiles for College Recruiting on a fee basis. 
A Full Service internal college Recruiting service for Club players is under development 
Indoor and Outdoor Facility Use:
 ECFH players are permitted to use the indoor or outdoor facility at any time the facilities are not being
 used for an ECFH practice/event or by others. . 
 Parents must be present at all times when using the facilities. 
 Clean up after use, place field hockey balls in one area, turn off the lights and lock the doors. 
Communications:


 Emails will be sent out by Coach Gaudette to players and parents. 
 Players are required to check emails daily for educational information, schedule changes, tournament updates, 

and other Club/Team related information.

2016. As a parent or legal guardian, and individually, I acknowledge that Players participation in any field hockey training
or game, including tournaments, involves risk of injury to Player. As a parent or legal guardian, and despite such risk, I
expressly assume that risk of injury to Player, a minor child, and to induce any training, game or tournament to permit the
Player to participate, I enter into this Agreement, and I agree and confirm the following: (1) the Player is physically fit and
able to participate in all respects in any training, game or tournament; and (2) hereby release, and agree to fully indemnify
and hold East Coast Field Hockey and any tournament and its members, directors, officers, employees, coaches, volunteers,
venders, insurers, attorneys and agents of East Coast Field Hockey and or any tournament harmless from any and all
claims, demands, actions, causes of action, loses, damages, or liability including without limitation, all expenses of litigation,
court costs and attorney fees for any injury to a death of the Player or to any other person whatsoever. Without limiting the
scope of the foregoing, this Release and Indemnity Agreement specifically includes any and all claims in any way arising out
of or related to Player participation in East Coast Field Hockey or any tournament, including without limitation, any
participation in field hockey training or game or tournament.
Further: (i) I hereby certify that the Player is covered for illness and/or injury (including without limitation and or
injury occurring in any training, game or tournament and associated travel) by medical insurance policy. If there is no coverage
for the players, (i) I hereby certify that the Player is not covered by medical insurance nor by medical insurance that provides for
coverage for illness and/or injury occurring in the USA or internationally and I agree that I am fully responsible in all respects,
including, without limitation, any financial obligations, for any medical services / treatment rendered for illness/injury suffered by
the Player before, during or after any training, games or tournaments.
I am signing the Agreement in my individual capacity and on behalf of the minor child (Player) named above, of whom I
am the parent or legal guardian.
