Pack a « Garbageless » (no-waste) Lunch
A no-waste lunch is a meal that does not create trash. You can buy food items
in bulk then put them in reusable containers to carry to school. Packing your
food in reusables is typically less expensive than buying food that comes in
disposable containers.
How to make a « Garbageless » Lunch :
A garbageless lunch requires a person to
eliminate as much left over litter as possible.
We suggest:
reusable lunch box or a cloth shopping bag to
act as a lunch bag
and resealable washable plastic
containers or thermos
cloth napkin or bandana to wipe up spills and clean hands
cutlery if needed
fill a water bottle with a beverage
If you freeze your drinking bottle the night before it will keep your lunch cool and fresh!
