5th Grade Book Report
Book Assigned: Stephen of Philadelphia
Author: James Otis
This is their first book report for the year. This report will
be a short book report using a form and we will work on
writing it in class. They may need to bring their rough
draft home for a re-write or if they don’t finish it in classwork time. The
final copy will be due September 26, 2014.
The following is a description about the book the students are reading:
“Stephen and his family travel from England to Pennsylvania in America
with other Quakers. After he arrives, Stephen’s life is filled with new
experiences, including encounters with Indians. This book gives young
readers a glimpse of life on the American frontier.
(Used for language book report in grades 5 & 6.)
