Involved in diagnosis, research and training in the field of cytopathology for last 26
years.
Performed and diagnosed over 22,000 fine needle aspirations on palpable & deep seated
lumps. Diagnosed over 60,000 Pap smears, 6,000 non gynaec exfoliative cytology and
4,500 cervical histopathology cases.
Participated in several multidisciplinary research projects related to cytology in
responsible position.
Imparted in-service training to 70 technicians, 6 technologists, and 60 pathologists &
through workshops to over 250 pathologists and residents in the field of cytology.
In charge of teaching and training activities of the institute including WHO (division of
cytopathology has been recognized by WHO and ministry of health Govt. of India for
training technicians and pathologists in the field of cytopathology).
