Italy Industrial Park
The Most Potential Area of Xuzhou Economic
Development Zone
Italy industrial park is located in the southwest of Xuzhou Economic
Development Zone, very near from Xuzhou New Town, and a few steps away from
the Beijing-Shanghai express railway under construction. Beijing-Fuzhou express
railway, Xuhai highway are to the east and north of the park. The south of the park is
connected with Xuzhou downtown area. To the north, it is the construction equipment
and photovoltaic industry cluster area. To the east, it is clean energy technology park
under construction, which is an important component of Xuzhou Economic
Development Zone. The planned land is 302 hectare and mainly for energy-saving,
new energy, environment-friendly and green industry, clean and washing industry etc.
It is expected that the total income will exceed 30 billion RMB when the park is
finished. To the west, it is Xuzhou express railway business area, which is built
surrounding Beijng-Shanghai express railway and Xuzhou-Lanzhou railway station. It
is expected that daily passengers will reach 30,000 in 2015. Xuzhou express railway
business area will become a sub-center of Xuzhou integrating transportation, ecology,
business and residence. From here to south is Ruhr Industrial Park, which aims at
attracting German influential and powerful multi-national corporations engaged in
construction
equipment,
mining
equipment,
IT,
energy-saving
and
environment-friendly industry, photovoltaic industry, and wind power manufacturing
industry. The focus is to build an important base of engineer training, technology
research, patent application and product manufacturing in the field of machinery,
energy and mining. Excellent location advantage has made this area the most potential
in Xuzhou Economic Development Zone.
Part Two Overall Planning of Italy Industrial Park
1. The Overall Structure of Italy Industrial Park: Six Belts, Two Axiles, One Circle
Italy Industrial Park is located in hill area including Qiu Hill, Jiu Hill and
Tongshan Hill. Most hill area have slopes over 5%. Based on natural geographic
conditions, this park is divided into the structure of six belts, two axiles, one circle.
Six Belts: Two hill ecological belts from east to west divide the land into three
industrial development belts. A living belt from north to south has been planned near
the central business area of Xuzhou Economci Development Zone.
Two Axiles: Owing to geography of Italy Industrial Park, an axile road is formed
from east to west. Another axile road from north to south will be built. These two
axile roads form the main structure of the whole park.
One Circle: One circle road around the park connect every part together.
2. Function Area
Italy Industrial Park is mainly for Italian corporations. Italy is a country with
many hills, and most industrial areas are located in hill area. From this point, it is very
similar to Italy Industrial Park of Xuzhou Economici Development Zone.
For historical reasons, the industry structure of Italy is different from that of
other developed countries. Most corporations are small and medium-sized mainly
engaged in fabric, leather, machinery and food. But it is these small and
medium-sized corporations that make Italy among the top seven states. The success of
Italy lies in that these small and medium-sized corporations are not isolated. They
usually enter into a larger production network which can integrate them together and
strengthen their capability. This is called the industrial cluster mode which can
promote the development of small and medium-sized corporations into giant
corporations. Based on this feature and conditions of this park, the park is designed to
be light industrial manufacturing park which is composed of special equipment
manufacturing park in the south, electronic equipment park in the middle, metal
equipment park in the north and scientific area in the west. Considering that there are
various types of Italian corporations, a comprehensive park will be added in the
electronic equipment park to attract other types of Italian corporations in the future.
3. Road Network System Planning: Main Roads and Branch Roads
According to the principle of saving land, there are only two levels of roads
which include twenty-meter main road and fifteen-meter branch road. The park can be
divided into 200m×200m sections by these roads.
4. Scenery System Planning: Main Roads and Branch Roads
The scenery system is to take the hill as the top of the scenery, overviewing the
whole park. In the east and west, they are modern industrial scene and European style
streets.
Part Three Overall Position of Italy Industrial Park
Based on features of land and basic industries of Xuzhou Economic
Development Zone, Italian industries, the leading industries in Xuzhou Economic
Development Zone are construction machinery, photovoltaic and logistics; the
advantage industries of Italy are fabric clothing, machinery manufacturing and house
products, most Italian industrial parks are in hill area, so it is not suitable for those
heavy and huge industries and only for those small industries. From these points, the
industries of Italy industrial park is for light industrial machinery.
To be specific, the park is for special equipment manufacturing, metal product
manufacturing and electronic equipment production, and at the same time include
logistics, business, living, leisure and exhibition funtions.
1. Special Equipment Manufacturing: include mining, metalurgical, construction
equipment, chemical, wood, non-metal processing equipment; food, drinks, tobacco
production equipments; printing, medicine, daily chemical production equipments;
fabric, clothing, leather equipment; electronic and electric equipments; agriculture,
forestry, fishing equipments; medical equipments; environment-friendly and social
public security and other equipments.
Detailed design of special equipment manufacturing: through the division by
roads, the land is divided into 200m×200m sections. The block design can improve
facility building efficiency. In every standard block, there is a administration and
office building which is the entrance of the facility. The planning and building of
facility can be built step by step based on needs. When the whole facility is finished,
every center of facility will have a central green land for leisure, and by the
surounding walls, a special equipment manufacturing park is formed.
1. Metal Product Manufacturing
Welded metal products; metal components; agriculture and garden use metal
tools; knifves and scissors for daily use; other metal products.
Detailed design of metal products manufacturing park: The industry of metal
product manufacturing park is affiliated to machinery manufacturing of Xuzhou
Economic Development Zone.These industries usually exist in the form of large scale
industrial clusters, great efforts are made to design the park so that every metal
product corportation can be integrated into the metal product park, and a high
concentrated industrial cluster can be formed in Italy Industrial Park.
3. Electronic equipment manufacturing
IT equipment manufacturing: telecommunication equipments; radar and affiliated
equipments; broadcasting and television equipments; eletronic control equipment;
electronic computer equipments; electronic components; audio and video equipments
for family use.
Detailed design of electronic equipment manufacturing park
The electronic equipment manufacturing park is characterized by small
corporations, little land, large scale output. Based on these features, electronic
equipment manufacturing park of Italy Industrial Park is designed to be standard
facilities with the same design and construction standard, and built by the government
or corporations and leased by corporations. The characteritics is that office area and
processing area are mixed together. There are three modes of office. The first is the
wing buildings are served as office buildings. The second is part of standard facility
area are served as office buildings. The third is establish office room in part of eightmeter-high facilities.
Part Four Italian Corporations in Xuzhou Economic Development Zone
1. Xuzhou Economic Development Zone and Antonelli S.P.A. have a joint programme
which manufactures 200 concrete pump trucks annually. The total investment of this
programme is 570 million US dollars with registered capital of 190 million US dollars.
Currently this programme is under construction.
2. Xuzhou Economic Development Zone and SIAC S.P.A. cooperate to build cabins.
This programme covers an area of 80,000 square meters with 81,000 square meters of
building area. The first phase will cover 45,000 square meters with a total investment
of 400 million RMB, and the fixed asset investment is 300 million RMB. When the
programme is finished, it is expected that annual income will reach 400 million RMB
and profit will reach 80 million RMB.
3. Xuzhou Economic Development Zone and GERVASI ROBOTICA S.R.L.
cooperate in concrete machinery project. The project will have a building area of
54,000 square meters with a total investment of 240 million RMB, fixed asset of 180
million RMB. When the project is finished, it is expected that annual income will
reach 300 million RMB and profit will reach 50 million RMB.
4. MAIT rotatary drill dig and construction equipment project is funded by MAIT
S.P.A. with a total investment of 17.5 million US dollars, and the registered capital is
7 million US dollars. The project covers an area of 44,000 square meters. The total
building area is 34,560 square meters. When construction is finished, annual
production capability is 80 rotatary drill digs and construction equipments.
This project has already obtained business license and 3.18 million US dollars
has already remitted. The architecture engineering design has been finished and land
certificate has been obtained. Currently, the project is progressing in bidding. The
project is planned to start construction in this April, and in April and May of 2011,
this project will be put into production.
