Project-Timeline and Check in Dates
Listed below are the check-in dates for our Social Studies Project.
Monday August 31, 2015
Project Information sheet explained in class and
sent home with students.
Monday August 31- Tuesday September 1, 2015
Students will be choosing a community to research,
identify the type of community and learning map
skills.
Tuesday September 8, 2015 (Check-in)
Students should have completed map of Texas.
The map should include labels of the major cities,
the capital, the location of the community that was
researched, a map title, legend, and compass rose.
Tuesday September 8- Wednesday September 9,2015
Students will be learning about grid maps, natural
resources, and activities in the community.
Wednesday September 16,2015 (Check-in)
Students should have added a grid map to the
state of Texas, Listed natural resources found in
their community, and identified activities in the
community.
Monday September 21, 2015
Project boards are due and presentations will
begin.
