EXPERIENCE
1997-Present
Work as an interpreter and translator. Areas of expertise include:
Technical (exhibits, trade-shows), medical (hospital rehabilitation, psychological/attitudinal tests
and evaluations), legal, architectural (commercial, retail design), arts, advertising, marketing,
engineering (mechanical, electrical) and voice-over talent.
1995-1997
Managed the marketing and sales of English training programs for Spanish-speaking people at
American Top English in Chicago, Illinois.
1995-1996
Worked as voice-over talent with Mirna Salazar & Associates (Chicago, Illinois) for Spanish
radio and TV commercials.
1993-1994
Redesigned one of Europe’s oldest jazz clubs (Madrid, Spain). Was interviewed in English for
feature article in renowned international magazine, Conde Nast Traveler.
1987-1994
Served as interpreter for key clients (Microsoft, Bausch & Lomb, Reebok) at international trade
shows held in Madrid, Barcelona and Chicago.
1985-1987
Led public relations campaigns for musical groups touring Spain, in collaboration with major
record labels (CBS, EMI, Virgin). Acted as interpreter for public relations and media events
involving English-speaking groups.
