Purpose
Use this procedure to display the structural overview of a project.
Trigger
Perform this procedure when you wish to display a project structure.
Prerequisites
None.
Menu Path
Use the following menu path to begin this transaction:

Select Accounting  Project System  Information System  Structures to go to the
Project Info System: Structure Initial Screen.

Additional Information
Projects consist of a definition and a structure.
The project definition is the binding framework for all the organisational elements in a project.
Projects can then be broken down into a series of tasks. In SAP, these tasks are called Work
breakdown structures. Work breakdown structures divide a project into manageable units. The
tasks and activities can be broken down, until the appropriate level of detail required to carry
out the task, is achieved.
The work breakdown structures form individual elements in a hierarchy. The further down the
hierarchy you go, the more detailed the activity breakdown gets.
The SAP Project System is used to control the following University expenditure: research,
development, estates, other services and capital.
