When to Send a Patient for Wound Care Services If your patient is experiencing chronic or non-healing wounds, we can help. These types of wounds can be caused by diabetes, vascular disease (arterial, venous, lymphatic, vasculitis), radiation therapy, surgery, trauma, burns or pressure. Chronic non-healing wounds may result in life-threatening infections, amputation or debilitating health problems.
