QUALIFYING EXAM (QUALS/ORALS): Taken before the beginning of the 5th semester (written portion finished before the first

CONTINUING ENROLLMENT
Once you have met the core requirements (taken all major/minor courses), you will typically enroll in P895 Research until you have
dissertation proposal approval. Once you have dissertation proposal approval, but are below 90 credit hours, begin enrolling in P899
PhD Degree Research. Once you have 90 hours, begin enrolling in G901 Advanced Research. G901 allows you to retain full-time
student status, at a flat fee of $150.00 for a total of 6 credit hours. G901 is NOT offered in the summer and cannot be taken with any
other courses. It is available to you only after you have met all other degree requirements with the exception of the written dissertation.
G901 enrollment is limited to a total of 6 semesters. The student is responsible for the $150, it is not covered by fee a remission.
