Articulation Agreement with Pasadena City College

Pacific Oaks College, located in Pasadena, California, is a unique educational institution offering upper division
and graduate – level college programs in human development, marital and family therapy, early childhood
education, and teacher education.
BA applicants fulfill the admissions requirement if they meet either of the following criteria (Official transcripts
must be submitted for verification):
1.
Complete a minimum of 60 Pacific Oaks’ transferable* semester units, 36 of which must meet the
specific General Education requirements detailed within this document.
* All transfer coursework must be completed with a grade of “C” or higher from a regionally accredited college
or university.
OR
2.
Possess an earned associate’s degree (minimum of 60 semester units) from a regionally accredited
institution in:
a) A traditional academic area of study (see Appendix A for a list of applicable areas of study),
- or –
b) Child Development/Early Childhood Education or Education-related area of study (e.g.,
Liberal Studies).
Associate degrees in vocational areas of study do not meet this requirement.
Pacific Oaks College and Pasadena City College have reviewed and approved the articulation agreement. The
agreement is in effect as of August 2011 and will remain in effect until formally revised by both institutions.
