A. Draw a map of the Louisiana Purchase labeling all states, major rivers, and the route traveled by Lewis & Clark. Label and create symbols for at least 8 natural resources or animals that Lewis & Clark discovered. Create a key and a title. The map must be very neat and no pencil and be very creative!
B. Write a magazine article explaining why Napoleon was unable to reestablish France as a North
American empire. Use at least two of the following topics in your article. Include visuals. o Rebellion in Haiti o
French control of North America o Conclude with how and why the Louisiana Purchase took place
C.You and the partners you choose will create a 10-minute skit on the important events of the
Louisiana Purchase. You must perform your skit in front of the class and turn in a hard copy of the skit. You must use props.
D. Identify and explain why these people are important with reference to the Louisiana Purchase:

Create your final product on a poster board or electronically in a PowerPoint.
A. President Thomas Jefferson is not sure what to do about purchasing the Louisiana land from France. Write a letter convincing him to make a decision using information you have learned about in class. The letter must be at least one page, with no mechanical errors. Make it look real!

Write a journal article chronicling the actual trip of Lewis and Clark. Use actual dates and include at least 5 interesting events, animals, or places they encountered and why these things are important. (If you need help, see page 301 in your textbook)
Create a short biography of Sacagawea in the first person. Explain why she is so important and remembered in history. Extra points if you perform a monologue for the class.

There are 640 acres/mile. Determine and sketch on paper or electronically how much it cost per square mile. Determine how much it cost per acre. Was it a good deal?
B. Read the Geography and history activity on page 286 & 287. Answer questions 1 & 2 in complete sentences.
C. Complete the Geography and History Activity for Chapter 9 & the timeline activity accurately.
