Ricky Dandel is an all-round artist, and versatility describes him at his best. He skilfully and
authentically masters pieces of different musical styles, ranging from rock, pop, country,
ballads to blues and jazz.
His talent and interest in languages has enabled him to sing or host international musical
events in a foreign language, in different countries of the world.
He plays piano and guitar and has written lots of songs and musical arrangements.
He is a university graduate, having both a M.A. and a Ph.D. degree in English and American
literature.

2007 marks Ricky Dandel’s 40th stage anniversary. He made his TV-debut at the
early age of 14 and hence he has recorded hundreds of TV-shows. The main event of
the artist’s anniversary shows will be staged and televised on 18 August 2007 at
Sibiu/Hermannstadt which is European Capital of Culture 2007. Adjacent musical
events of the project are going to take place in Luxemburg, the twin European Capital
of Culture, at the Rock um Knuedler Festival in July and in Germany in September
2007. The open air show called “Ricky Dandel and friends from Europe” commences
with a symphonic rock part and will feature throughout the evening entertainer, actor
and songwriter Elvin, as well as rock bands from Luxembourg, Germany and
Hermannstadt/Sibiu.
