Biome Power Point Project due: 3/6/15
The biome poster project is an in-class, group project that will help you learn more about a particular land
biome. Each group of 3 or 4 will be assigned a biome to research further. The only items that may be
created on the computer are your paragraph, title and labels. Everything else MUST be done by hand.
Your group will create one poster that must include the following:
1. A Title Page
 Your title page should be neat, colorful, and large enough to easily read. Your biome
name, your name, date, and class.
2. Pictures of Plants (Slide 1)
 You must include at least 3 pictures of plants that are typically found in your biome.

You will use National Geographic websites to find pictures.
3. Pictures of Animals (Slide 2)
 You must include at least 3 pictures of animals that are typically found in your biome.
 Each picture must be different – for example, you may not use two different pictures of
lion
4. Picture of the physical environment (Slide 3)
 You must include at least 1 picture of this
 These can be landscape or scenery pictures that show a nice overview of what the
environment of the biome looks like.
5. Labeling of pictures
 All pictures must be labeled with the category they are representing (plant, animal, or
physical environment.)
 Each picture may be used only once for one category – for example, you may not use the
same picture as plants and physical environment.
6. ONE climatograms representing two different locations found in your biome (Slide 4)
 Climatograms can be imported from the internet or create a graph in the internet
 All axes must be labeled properly
 Each climatogram must be titled with the city and country that it represents
7. A world map showing where on Earth your biome is located (Slide 5)
 The map must show your biome only – use one color to shade in the area of the globe
represented by your biome OR label your biome location. Use a second color for
everything else.
 A key must be included.
8. A well-written paragraph summarizing the main characteristics of your biome. Your
paragraph must include the following: (Slide 6)
