ABSTRACT
This short document serves as a template for preparing an abstract not more than 300 words to be included
in the Book of Abstracts of the CESARE’14 International Conference on Civil Engineering for Sustainability
and Resilience. The abstract should clearly state the purpose, procedure, results and conclusions of the full paper
and the submission deadline is June 30, 2013. When typing the abstract keep the text structure and the text styles
provided in this template.
Follow this order when typing your abstract: Title, Authors, Affiliations, Keywords, Abstract. Acceptable file
formats for the abstract are MS Word (.doc) and pdf. The electronic files containing the abstract text material
should be labeled: “FirstAuthorName_CESARE14_abstract.extension”.

GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS
Text
The abstract must be written in English, A4 paper, single-spaced, justified, with a font size of 10pt, in Times
New Roman. Equations, references, figures and tables should be avoided if possible.
Margins
The margins must be formatted to 2.5cm on all sides of the paper. The headers and footers must be 2.0cm
References
In case the authors would like to add references to their abstract, they are advised to follow the instructions given
in the full paper template.
Submission term and deadlines
Submission deadline is September 30, 2013. Authors will be notified about the preliminary acceptance by 31
October 2013.
