One day trip featuring…
National Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes ~ St. Paul Shrine ~ Church of St. Stanislaus
Travel to Cleveland, Ohio aboard a deluxe highway coach. A breakfast stop will be made en route. Our first
stop will be made at the lovely National Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes. Dedicated on May 30, 1926, the
Shrine and Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes is a copy of the original shrine in Lourdes, France. Following a tour
of the shrine enjoy time to explore the beautiful grounds, visit the extensive gift shop and spend time in prayer
before the lovely grotto or intimate chapel. Later today we gather for a special group luncheon at a local
restaurant before visiting the beautiful St. Paul Shrine. A Franciscan parish, St. Paul Shrine serves as an oasis
of prayer and devotion through the perpetual adoration of the Blessed Sacrament by the Poor Clare Nuns in
residence. Dubbed the “Montmartre of Cleveland,” St. Paul’s is a fine example of Victorian English country
gothic architecture. Later this afternoon we travel into the historic Slavic Village of Cleveland and visit the
magnificent Shrine Church of St. Stanislaus. Serving the Poles since 1886, St. Stanislaus is one of the largest
and most impressive Gothic-style churches in the country. St. Stanislaus was Cleveland’s first Polish parish
and was visited by the late Pope John Paul II. Later today we leave the Cleveland area and begin our journey
home. A dinner stop will be made en route.
