Directions: From the North or West: Take Interstate 5 or Hwy
99 to Hwy 120 in Manteca. Stay on Hwy 120 (east) through
Oakdale where it will merge with Hwy 108.
Stay on 108 (east) to Sonora. (Sonora is about 34 miles east of
Oakdale.) .) Take Hwy 49/Stockton Road and go 1.25 miles to
Southgate Road. Turn right on Southgate.
From the south: Take Hwy 99 north to Merced. Exit Hwy 99 at
“R” Street. Stop at the light (if it’s red) and go straight one block to
“V” Street. Turn right on “V” Street. Turn LEFT on 16th St which
is SR 59. Stay on SR 59 through Snelling. Just past Snelling, turn
LEFT on J 59 to Sonora. Turn right on Hwy 108 and go 15 miles
then take Hwy 49/Stockton Road and go 1.25 miles to Southgate
Road. Turn right on Southgate.
You will pay your camping fee on arrival. $30.00 per night. Stop
to register at the fairground office either as you enter or after you
park.
What to do for a week? Sonora is centrally located to many of
the Mother Lode towns that make up the Gold Country. Enjoy
breakfast, Happy Hour & dinner at the fairgrounds club room and
have the day on your own to shop, tour, or sit and “sog” and enjoy
the camaraderie of your fellow Amigos! Mountain Springs Golf
Course is close by, as well as neighboring courses in Angles Camp
and Copperopolis. Antique shops galore and much, much more!
Lots of great places to go for lunch too! Black Oak Casino is in
nearby Tuolumne City. We will attend the matinee on Saturday
May 23rd (optional) for the performance of “Honky Tonk Angels”
Tickets for Senior /group rate is $34.00 per person. I need to make
reservations in advance and so if you plan to attend, I need to know
ASAP. You will pay me for your tickets at the rally…..not with
your rally fee.
What can we do to help? I thought you’d never ask!  I’m
looking for volunteers to help with breakfasts and dinners. We no
longer have a breakfast bar but will have hot breakfasts a couple of
the mornings. You’ll enjoy Attitude Adjustment (BYOB) & dinner
every night. If two or three couples work together it makes
preparing a meal a snap and it really is a lot of fun! After your
rally reservations have been returned, I’ll contact you to see who
you’d like to work with or you can talk it over with your friends
and make a note on the reservation form. There are 4 major
grocery stores in town and we have a refrigerator and freezer
available in the “Clubhouse”. All we need are cooks! I’ll
coordinate everything once I have received your rally reservation.
If you cook…Please save your receipts, so you can be
reimbursed at the end of the rally!
What is this shindig going to cost? $110.00 Rally fee…payable
to Jan Watson, sent in with your registration. Campground
fees ($30.00 per night) will be paid at when you enter the
Fairgrounds. There will be an additional assessment at the end
of the rally for food not covered in the rally fee.

seats. We’ll collect for the Theatre at the rally.
